About Abigail Waller

I am a critical care nurse at Ashford Hospital. I love being a nurse and take pride in the care I deliver for my patients. I face every situation with a hands on approach and acknowledge my limitations by involving members of the multidisciplinary team in order to maximise person-centred care. I am ambitious, enthusiastic and dedicated to continually expanding my knowledge and understanding of critical care. I love to travel and would love to use my nursing skills around the world - so far I have completed a mission with Open Heart International to Tanzania. I have a passion for education and am currently the clinical facilitator for third year student nurses who come on placement within Ashford Hospital. I have also recently taken on a position as Associate Lecturer in Nursing at Flinders University. Having worked here casually for the past 3 years, I am excited to begin a career within the University sector and influence the next generation of Registered Nurses. I teach a variety of topics to students of all year levels, and also teach in the post graduate critical care course. I am currently undertaking a Graduate Certificate in Clinical Education with the hope of pursuing my career towards education.
