About Abla Assaf

I have been working in the field of education for 24 years starting my career path as a teacher and afterward, moved to the private sector and to nongovernmental organizations working in humanitarian contexts. I'm a Certified Master Trainer in Better Learning Programme- NRC PSS-SEL Flagship Programme and have passes a course in EiE with University of Tromso/ Norway as part of fulfillment of the MT certification. Since then, my focus is supporting education in vulnerable schools in the H2R areas that are effected by the occupation and emergency in Palestine where schools are under attacks and violence which hinders the education process and the students’ ability to learn. I strongly believe that teachers are the most crucial element in the Education in Emergency interventions and consequently, teachers’ care and support is essential to ensure they can care and support their students. Have faith in education as a means of change and as life saving mechanism. Return to education after a crisis helps in return to normalcy and offers a safe place and an opportunity to begin a recovery stage in a structured environment. I advocate for child protection and child right in accessing safe environment and safe, quality, inclusive education. Advocate for Youth as builders and leaders of the future and advocate for gender equality and sensitivity. My educational and professional background, experience in leading huge tasks in conjunction with my energy and enthusiasm, creativity and flexibility always help me achieve my goals! Member in INEE and invest INEE resources in my practices. Strong education professional with a Master of Arts (M.A.)
