About Adam Payne

Adam Payne manages the Consents and GIS Team at Flotation Energy supporting the delivery of key consents and environmental aspects of our GReen volt, Cenos and White Cross. Prior to this role I led the the consents process for the White Cross floating offshore wind project in the Celtic Sea and the offshore aspectsof the Morecambe Offshore Wind Farm DCO. Trough this role managing the Consents and GIS Team he also supports our international teams and works closely with STakeholder, Comms, Engineering and Supply Chain colleagues. Adam has over 20 years experience in the marine environment and nearly 2 decades in offshore renewables including fixed and floating offshore wind, wave and tidal. Adam has developed and project managed numerous impact assessments, marine environmental surveys, technical reports, and mitigation and monitoring plans. Adam has a wide-ranging understanding of environmental policy, which he uses in the strategic environmental advice and engages with engineers, contractors, regulators and other stakeholders in finding cost effective environmental solutions to meet the needs of major infrastructure projects. Adam’s background in fish and fisheries results from spending his early career as a fisheries consultant providing management and licensing advice to clients throughout the world, including several governments. Adam has worked in the UK, Africa, Australia, South and Central America and the Caribbean on oil and gas, underwater tree harvesting and a number of fisheries based projects. His offshore wind, wave and tidal expertise covers the UK (England, Wales and Scotland), Ireland, Australia, USA and Japan.
