About Adewale Tychus

Adewale has a strong background in planning, teaching and implementing healthcare education programs. His outreach involved conducting Root Cause Analyses for quality improvement, training staff in best practices to reduce avoidable readmissions and also assisting them in implementation. Due to his passion for health promotion and seeing communities continue to get healthier, he works as the health consultant for Temple Of Praise church in Beltsville, Maryland where he organizes and manages the yearly health fair, leading a team of over 20 volunteers. While with The Delmarva Foundation, he provided diabetes education and counseling with a focus on blood glucose monitoring, nutrition, exercise, and medication reconciliation to over 1,500 Medicare beneficiaries leading to several testimonies of reduced blood glucose levels and improved health outcomes. Adewale also conducted health education presentations to companies, small groups and also did individual counseling sessions regarding diabetes self-management techniques, healthy lifestyles, nutrition, risk management, and cardiovascular health.
