With a strong focus on fostering economic empowerment for small, locally owned businesses in Lexington, KY, I have successfully executed the business plan and formulated a strategic plan for growth. My responsibilities encompass diverse areas, including budgeting, fundraising initiatives, staff training and recruitment, and maintaining comprehensive records of the charity program. I possess exceptional skills in researching potential organizations and securing funds, ensuring the financial sustainability of the market. As the authorized official and Point of Contact (POC) for a USDA federal grant, I have effectively managed and leveraged this valuable resource for the market's benefit. This grant has allowed us to expand our reach and create even greater opportunities for the under-served community we serve. In addition to my managerial role, I actively engage with the community by organizing community meetings and delivering impactful speeches on economic development and entrepreneurship. I am proud to be an active member of the Reimagining the Civic Common's cohort for Lexington, attending numerous learning journeys that have enhanced my understanding of the ongoing community development needs and opportunities. As a coach at the Harwood Institute, I am dedicated to empowering individuals and organizations to create positive change within their communities.
