About Adrianne Yang

Adrianne is experienced in water management and water resources modeling. She has created numerous models to help mine sites manage water and ensure compliance with environmental regulations. Her favorite recent project was a water balance that was used to provide required storage volumes for preliminary design of a proposed mine and to demonstrate how the project met the client's environmental goals. She also developed and provides continual support for another operational water balance, used to determine when additional storage is required, for the past 5 years. She has also used hydraulic and hydrologic models to design conveyance structures and to evaluate the as-built capacities of others. Adrianne's education has given her the skills to approach problems from different angles. She has used unconventional approaches to model predicted temperatures in ponds to determine if they would inhibit fish populations from living in the ponds. She also used an unconventional approach to determine why a water treatment plant experienced record high inflows when snowpack was just above normal.
