About Aimee Barwick

I have over 20 years' experience in land use planning, transport and delivery of large-scale local government infrastructure and urban development projects. I have extensive project management and multi-disciplinary leadership experience on a number of infrastructure projects from inception through to construction. Key skills include transitioning and applying strategic concepts into infrastructure delivery and urban outcomes. I have played a key role in shaping significant housing and infrastructure policies and legislation leading to significant changes in funding and delivery models as a result of my work with Auckland Council and the Government in New Zealand. I have led commercial negotiations for urban development, transport and wider infrastructure investments. Key projects include securing the planning permissions for the Auckland City Rail Link project and a key advisor to the Government on Light Rail. My experience and skills help provide sound advice to clients and shape projects that can deliver a range of benefits and outcomes. I value collaboration, integrated thinking and leading by example. My passion is to set a clear vision and equip multi-disciplinary teams with the tools and environment to deliver on that vision. I like to build a project environment where everyone can work together to achieve success by drawing on a wide range of technical expertise and thought leaders to deliver great outcomes.
