About Aimee Rodriguez

Hello, my name is Aimee Rodriguez. I am a junior at the University of Florida, and I am pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration through the UF Online Program. In addition to being a full-time student, I currently work as the Marketing Director for a local non-profit organization. I organize, design, and execute both internal and external communications campaigns. My work involves print, digital, and social media. Combined with my business administration studies, I have gained valuable work experience in marketing while completing my undergraduate degree. The most valuable skill I have learned so far is campaign management by way of our Annual Fund Campaign. The Annual Fund is the most important project I undertake each year, raising over $1.3 million annually since it was first launched in 2016. In elementary school, I frequently made PowerPoint presentations to help teach myself school subjects that I found challenging. I figured out that I was able to learn more effectively by taking a difficult subject, breaking it down, and then simplifying it via bullet points. I don’t use this strategy as a learning tool anymore; however, I developed valuable subject-segmentation, presentation, and computer skills in the process. I am passionate about my job and my education, so being able to work while enrolled in school has proven to be the most effective way for me to learn. I would like to continue this “school/work” combination for my Masters in Business Administration (MBA) so I can continue to gain valuable work experience while furthering my education. Following graduation, I would like to join a mid-size to large corporation’s marketing team while being enrolled in a part-time online MBA program. I am interested in learning more about potential Marketing Director job availabilities should they be presented. In addition, I am more than happy to discuss my experience and abilities as described.
