Counselling Therapist (CT) and Registered Professional Counselling Candidate (RPC-C) finishing up a Master's Degree in Counselling (MC), focusing on mental health and addictions advocacy. My experience focuses in working with populations who are experiencing homelessness and substance use. My current role is as a Director of Programs where I am responsible for developing and building/expanding programs within the recovery-oriented system of care. I started my work in mental health and addiction advocacy in the Downtown Eastside Community of Vancouver, where I began as an outreach worker. I then moved into a case management role, a program manager role, and currently as a director of programs. Trauma-informed practise, EFT, compassionate inquiry, and mindfulness-based practices inform me in my person-centred work where I work with the individual and not an ideology where I will work with each individual to develop a unique treatment plan that suits them where they are at.
