As reserch scholar, I am engaged in performing reproductive toxicity studies of candidate drugs, in Rat Model. The exposure of chemical present in the environment or drugs or food etc. causing serious damage to fetus during at birth or later in life in the form of behavioral and visceral changes. Studies in animals are indicative of a potential hazard in general rather than the potential for a specific adverse effect on the fetus when there are no human data on which to base the animal experiments because that mimics the human developmental effect at clinically comparable exposures can be developed. I am using molecular and biochemical approach to analyze foetal anomalies i.e. Gross, Visceral (soft tissue sectioning ) and Skeleton (alizarin Red staining) and along with to see the role of biochemical’s or enzymatic assay by ELISA (GSH, SOD, Catalase etc.), beside these also observing the role of Cytochrome (CYP) P450 metabolism metabolite involve in teratogenicity. Supporting evidence the involvement metabolite in teratogenicity confirmed by using its mRNA expression by quantitative Real-time PCR.
