I am a career advisor and certified professional resume writer, author, teacher, real estate developer, business owner, business developer, government administrator, and corporate vice president. I have been all of these during a very interesting and diverse career. I know a thing or two about starting over and reinventing myself. I have always been successful and landed on my feet. Who better to be a career counselor than someone who has been on both sides of the desk, applying for jobs and hiring great talent? My uniqueness lies in the fact that I have worn many hats over the last 45 years working in government, the private sector, and the non-profit world. As a career counselor with City University in New York, I have been witness every day to the emotional and personal barriers that people face in career transition. My passion is to help job seekers to get to really know who they are and to realize that they bring value to the workplace. It starts with a resume that is clean, to the point, and demonstrates achievement. It's a challenging, technologically driven world out there, and I help navigate the minefield of job hunting. Writing a resume that resonates with employers and gets a resume out of the black hole in cyberspace where most resumes go is what I am good at. When I was competing for multi-million dollar engineering and construction contracts, the greatest thrill was the call from a client telling us that we were the successful bidder. Today, nothing is better than the calls I get from clients telling me that they are starting their new job next Monday.
