About Alaa Eleyan

Dr. Eleyan finished his BSc and MSc degrees in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Near East University in Northern Cyprus in 2002 and 2004, respectively. He joined Eastern Mediterranean University as a research assistant in September 2004 where he obtained his PhD degree in 2009. Dr. Eleyan has more than 18 years of working experience in different universities at Northern Cyprus and Turkey. During these years, he served at different positions and committees such as vice chair, faculty executive board, university senate council, quality control and accreditation committee, Erasmus coordinator, internship committee and student transfer committee chair. His research interests are signal & image processing, biometrics, pattern recognition and machine learning. Dr. Eleyan supervised and co-supervised many M.Sc. & Ph.D. theses. He has more than 60 articles and conference papers published in various national and international indexed journals and conferences. He served as general chair of many international conferences such as ICDIPC2019, DIPECC2018, TAEECE2018 and DICTAP2016.
