Background

About Alan Gabriel

Public Policy and International Affairs graduate with a strong foundation in political science, international relations, community engagement, and social impact programs. My academic and professional work bridges policy research, community-based development, and analytical writing, shaped by experiences across higher education, nonprofit initiatives, and international settings. I have supported research on democracy promotion in the MENA region, coordinated scholarship programs at the American University of Beirut, and contributed editorial leadership to AUB Outlook. Prior to my academic and policy career, I spent several years working in one of the most demanding professional environments, commercial fishing in the North Atlantic; building resilience, discipline, and strong problem-solving skills. I’m motivated by issues of inequality, governance, and social justice, and I thrive in roles involving research, teaching, program coordination, and community engagement. I aim to continue developing professionally in policy research, humanitarian action, and higher education.
