I am a BSc Honours Plant Sciences student at the University of Pretoria, with a passion for science, especially Genetics and Anatomy. I completed my BSc Biotechnology degree at the University of Pretoria in 2024. My goal is to complete both my master’s and doctoral degrees in the biological sciences. Throughout 2023, I was the Community Engagement Officer for NATHouse, which represents the Natural and Agricultural Sciences faculty at the University of Pretoria. Through my involvement with NATHouse, I was responsible for overseeing the hosting of various student life activities to promote NAS Faculty, as well as providing students with a more holistic university experience. From a career perspective, I am keen in pursuing a career in the agricultural and scientific industries, with a specific focus on legislation. In 2024 I acted as assistant to the Chief Public Relations Practitioner of the NAS Faculty at the university of Pretoria; Assisting in the execution of events aimed at attracting prospective university students, comprising of school visits and faculty open days.
