About Albert Riera

I hold an industrial engineering degree in electronics, with an extensive complementary education in marketing and business management and have developed a long professional career in various technical sales & marketing senior management positions, significantly in Ascamm/Eurecat technology centre for 22 years and previously in Idiada for 8 ½ years. I have taken my official retirement but I still maintain a part-time consulting activity in my main fields of expertise, i.e, Industry 4.0, green vehicles and smart/sustainable mobility, especially with regard to market and business development issues. This includes a limited professional cooperation with Eurecat, which also involves certain external activities on its behalf. Additionally, I am the director of the Plastics Technical Section of the Spanish Society of Automotive Engineers (STA) and a registered project evaluator for the EU’s R&D Framework Program. I have taken part in many national and international conferences and seminars for the automotive, metalworking and plastics industries, with presentations on experiences, models and strategies related to innovation, technology development and business competitiveness.
