Experienced in retail sales and providing exceptional customer service, leadership, management, sales, credit, training, communication, and customer satisfaction. I began working in the retail industry in 2007. I started out as a cashier for Lowe’s store 0160. I enjoyed being able to work on the front end and interact with customers at checkout. I have held other retail positions for other companies in the retail industry, ranging from grocery clerk, apparel, health and beauty, receiving, inventory, to name a few, but my journey has brought me back to Lowe’s. I returned to Lowe’s as a customer service desk associate in January 2015. In that role I was able to use my skills and gain some additional ones as well! I provided customer service, assisting and directing customers, taking credit payments and processing new credit applications. Talking to customers both in person and over the phone and assisting customers with issues with their orders. Processing returns and providing customers solutions to problems. The role in customer service prepared me to be knowledgeable and skillful in my next career move, as Sales Specialist! I was a Sales Specialist in Plumbing. Providing customer service and sales of both stock and special orders. Learning and adapting to that role was exciting and new! I was in that position for all the seasons Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer, the skills that I acquired in that role motivated me to grow and further my knowledge of sales and transition into the Sales Specialist role in Appliances. Appliances was also a great experience, I was able to learn about all the appliance options and accessories, from styles and finishes to brands, types and functions. I enjoyed working with customers and helping them to figure out what would best fit for them in their homes and businesses. This role was my last as a specialist, I then moved into a management role over Plumbing and Electrical. Department supervisor for Plumbing and Electrical, was a great experience for me. Going into that role with the skills I gained from being a specialist there first was beneficial. I had the opportunity to go to a week long management training that was a great experience in itself. I’ve managed Appliances, Cabinets, Millworks, Front-End, and now currently managing Pro, Lumber and Building Materials! I love where I work, and the opportunities Lowe’s has provided me with career development. I hope to continue to grow and learn and help to lead others to do the same.
