About Alex Rundle

I hold a Bachelor of Science with Honours from the University of Adelaide, where my studies focused strongly on animal behaviour and welfare. Through my degree I developed a strong interest in understanding how science-based management and ethical practices can improve the wellbeing of animals across a range of contexts.I’m interested in the intersection of animal welfare, behaviour, and environmental sustainability, and how they can support responsible animal management and positive outcomes for both animals and ecosystems. I also interested in areas such as reproductive biology, environmental science, habitat management, and applied research, and I’m keen to keep building the practical and scientific skills that support ethical animal management and more sustainable interactions between animals and their environments.Outside of work and study, I like playing and watching footy (go the Crows!), rock climbing, and running. Footy has given me the chance to step into leadership roles, where I’ve learnt a lot about teamwork, motivation, and bouncing back from tough losses (there were plenty). It’s also helped me keep a balanced approach to life.
