About Alexander Ford

Creative Writing graduate with a keen interest in editorial work. Socially, I'm exceptionally friendly, polite, and well-spoken. I approach new ideas and beliefs with an open mind, expressing a lot of interest in them, especially with regards to equality and culture. At work, my full dedication and attention is given to any and all tasks that I am given, prioritising the most immediate and important of jobs that are required of me. Ever since beginning my course, I've discovered a passion for reading and editing authors' work, investing a lot of my efforts into their ideas and styles and often adopting them into my own repertoire of writing ability. In my spare time, I write and edit my own creative work which tends around the horror and dark fantasy genre, alongside working on digital art of similar themes via Adobe Photoshop. Most of my reading is focused on these genres but I frequently dive into different genres out of interest. Whilst at University, I've dedicated much of my time to the revival and re-branding of the Creative Writing Society. I have since arranged a number of open mic events and overseen the production of two anthologies which have been sold for charity. I also, under my own initiative, produced an anthology of creative works by third year creative writing students as a professional publication. Following the conclusion of my studies, I collaborated with two other graduates to form an online volunteer business, The Beta Service. The aim of this was to work as freelance editors of transformative works, or fan fiction, to help writers with their personal writing projects. For this, I worked closely with clients in order to provide the best possible advice for their work.
