About Alexis Hackney

I am a hardworking professional, with experience in working with children of all ages. I have worked with children from different backgrounds, socioeconomic status’ and disabilities. I am able to differentiate and accommodate for various student's needs. I have a passion for working with children and believe in the importance of establishing a good relationship with each student. I have been a swim coach for many years and have experience with helping children reach their potential through planning and implementing swim practices for children of various swimming abilities. I have also been a student teacher in the classroom for my last year at Delta State University, in which I planned an implemented lessons for each of the 5 core subjects while integrating diversity, technology, music, art, health and PE and adding activities for the different learning styles. I hope to contribute team player skills, to be a role model for students as well as implement effective, research-based teaching strategies.
