About Alison Graham

42 years experience in local government Started my career in 1982 with Glasgow City Council. Kelvingrove Museum and Art Gallery. 1983 moved to Building and Works and gained a wealth of knowledge and understanding of the councils administration processes, policy and procedures relating to the housing repairs service, housing investment programme and out of hours emergency services. in 1996 following the disaggregation of SRC I transferred to South Lanarkahire Council. Since then I have continued further education and have used my transferable skills to secure a post wirhin the Srategy and Policy team within Council headquarters. I am currently working in the Development and Private Sector team providing support and assistance to the senior management team and local housing offices, contributing to the management of the council's affordable housing supply programme and the development of the council's strategic housing investment plan as well.as responding to consultations, keeping up to date with changes to legislation that affects the day to day operational business and updating policies and procedures as required and organising PR events to promote our achievements. I really enjoy working for SLC and get real satisfaction when we complete a new build development or regeneration programme. We really do make a difference to the people in SL when we hand over the keys to their new home.
