About Allan Storer

I paint large and small abstract paintings in Cornwall and London. I also teach art classes in my London studio and give talks on Surrealism and Surrealist artist Leonora Carrington to interested groups and organisations. I've spent seven years studying the theory and practice of modern art, psychology and education practice, am a post graduate of Kings College, London and Chelsea College of Art and Design culminating my research into psychology and surrealism. “Art is the tool of my trade” and my academic research opened the way for me to firstly teach and then work in educational and therapeutic environments with adults in mental health crisis and later young people with early onset of psychosis. I am now a full time practising artist working in St. Ives, Cornwall and London. Am a member of the Federation of British Artists, a member of the Hesketh Hubberd Drawing Society in the Mall galleries, London where I also exhibited with the Institute of Royal Oil Painters and St. Ives Art Club And the rest, work in public and private collections including the permanent collection of the RFU. the World Rugby Museum, Royal households, Grand Prix apartments - Monaco, London Show Homes A published artist in the BBC Arts Catalogue - Art in the National Public Collection and have had work used as corporate logos, published in magazines and a recording label.
