Background
About Allison Heck
Currently a JET Program ALT going to Akita City, Akita, Japan. I have a Bachelor's in Japanese Education and a minor in English New Language (ENL). I have been studying Japanese for seven years. I taught over 80 students Japanese during my student teaching. I was distinguishably awarded the Dean's List honor for outstanding academic achievement with my major of Japanese Education for my junior year at Ball State last year. I was awarded a certificate for the Japanese National Honor Society in my high school career, and was the president of the Japanese club. I have had the privilege of teaching fifth graders Japanese in the fall of 2021 for a semester, where I made over twenty-five individual lesson plans and taught students for a fifty minute period twice a week. I have also tutored over six people. I have completed 320 lesson plans for 101 and 102 Japanese level proficiencies each. I am very people-oriented and love to get to know people with kindness and with an open-mind.
