About Amalia Doebbert

As a geoscientist with broad interests, I am open to a wide range of opportunities. I am highly motivated by projects that allow me to integrate multiple datasets to develop understanding of a question, and apply that understanding to solve problems. My recent background as a geologist in the oil and gas industry includes multiple basins and work in South America, Canada, and the deepwater Gulf of Mexico (GoM). I have experience in both exploration and production settings ranging from new ventures to development of a producing field, and skills applicable to both conventional and unconventional petroleum systems. My industry experience gave me the opportunity to build on my academic background, which was focused on stratigraphy, source-to-sink sedimentary provenance, and isotope geochemistry. Some of my key skills include: team collaboration, exploration geology, reservoir management geology, independent research, 2D and 3D seismic interpretation, static geocellular reservoir modeling, basin modeling, petroleum systems analysis, core analysis, well planning. I have experience with the following industry and other software: Petrel, Zetaware (KinEx, Trinity, Genesis), RMS, Seisworks, Powerview, Techlog, ArcGIS, Matlab, R, Adobe Illustrator, Canvas, Photoshop, Microsoft Office (primarily Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook).
