About Amanda French

I am an HR professional with experience supporting people, systems, and operations across staffing, payroll coordination, documentation, and employee lifecycle processes in a large, unionized environment. After many years in education, experiential learning, and leadership facilitation, I moved into HR to build strong operational foundations and contribute to effective, human-centered workplace practices. In my current HR role, I support recruitment and staffing processes for management and support staff, maintain accurate employee data, manage confidential files, coordinate mentoring and leadership development initiatives, and contribute to the smooth day-to-day functioning of HR operations. What connects my work is a focus on clarity, relational intelligence, and psychological safety. I value environments where communication is clear, processes are well designed, and employees feel supported through change. As I continue to develop within HR, I am particularly interested in People & Culture–focused roles that combine strong HR coordination with exposure to employee experience, continuous improvement, and collaborative HR practices.Focus areas:Human Resources • People & Culture • Employee Experience • Recruitment & Staffing Coordination • HR Operations • Payroll & Data Accuracy • Process Improvement • Learning & Development • Coaching-informed practice • Change support • Systems thinking
