Background
About Amanda Gardner
I am a self-motivated RN dedicated to high quality, patient-centered care and nursing education. I worked at the bedside in a variety of units for 5 years, ending in the ICU. I then moved to GE HealthCare and was a Subject Matter Expert providing education, go live support, and leadership to customers in the Chesapeake region (MD, DC, VA) and nationwide for 6 years. My goal has always been to enrich the experience of clinicians and working to improving patient outcomes. I am also passionate about improving processes internally evidenced by participating in User Acceptance Testing and Training for a new scheduling and documenting tool. At the end of 2021, I transitioned into an Onsite Healthcare Project Manager role. I managed the entire project once sales secured the purchase order through post go live support. I was responsible for products within GE HealthCare for Monitoring, Periop, and Maternal Infant Care in the Chesapeake Region; I was the primary liaison between GEHC and the customer. Working closely with Product Sales Specialists, Order Management Specialists, Clinical Education Specialists, Networking Designers, and Field Engineer teams. I coordinated the implementation, installation, and timely execution of monitoring solutions products at various hospitals. I was involved with pre-sales engagement, on site customer support, sales order reviews, project planning and communication, resource coordination, issue resolution, and project closeout. While in this role I had the opportunity to manage a new hospital build at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, coordinating, planning, and installing at least 347 CS1’s, 232 B650’s, 115 B850’s, 49 CSCS’s, 4 CSG’s, 123,905 sq ft of telemetry, a ton of networking, anesthesia machines and monitors, and multiple transport CS1’s, cables, and modules. This project was extremely successful with no post go live issues. While managing this project and many others, I continued my education by obtaining my Project Manager Professional (PMP) certification in 2023. In April of 2024 I transitioned into a new role, Product Sales Specialist, Clinical Accessories. I am learning strategy, negotiation, and closing. Asking great questions and solving problems for my customers is my focus.
