About Amanda Hausmann

The power of persuasion and cultivating buy-in. In both my professional and personal lives I’ve experienced the direct correlation between my ability to influence others and success. I landed my first job after law school by convincing the hiring manager that I was worth the risk despite lacking the requisite 5 years’ experience. During my stint as a trial attorney, each jury I argued before bought into my case theme that it was my client, not the opposing party, who was being fair and reasonable. On the other hand, during my collegiate years, I missed an opportunity to study abroad in France after not quite convincing the selection committee of my studious intentions (it was very clear my goal was to eat cheese, tour museums, and shop my way through Paris). These and other experiences have me firmly convinced that professional success comes not from the alphabet soup of letters behind your name, but rather your ability to influence others. Given this, I approach each professional opportunity with the same goals: foster genuine relationships; collaborate with the intent of understanding others’ perspectives; and cultivate support from critical stakeholders before, during, and after a project. Whether arguing in a courtroom or managing change within a large organization, this practice has consistently led to great outcomes while enjoying the ride!
