About Amanda Madu

I am a former grad and undergrad student at Southern Methodist University, Cox School of Business. I have always been passionate about accounting and fashion. While I was in college, I had the privilege of working as a Stylist Assistant at three luxury retail boutiques in Dallas - Chanel, Tootsies, and Piermarini. I have had experience not only interning, but working full time in Assurance for Ernst & Young. I had the opportunity to work on clients such as Neiman Marcus, Lone Star, Matheson Tri-Gas, Trinity Industries, Hunt Oil & Gas, Eagle Materials, and Berkshire Hathaway Automotive. I transitioned out of public accounting and into the entertainment industry as a Staff Accountant after moving to Los Angeles. I have really enjoyed seeing the other side of accounting and what it’s like to actually prepare the entries as opposed to reviewing them. Working in LA lead me to exploring more marketing and influencer related roles as well as using numbers to inform market decisions. After moving back to Dallas, I began working for the non profit sector in Communications, while still maintaining my accounting knowledge working in AP and budgeting. I would like to begin the transition of using my accounting and business skills to transfer to a position to analyze data and make informed business decisions for a company.
