I am a commercially astute, pragmatic and agile individual with over 22 years experience within a variety of technical, cyber security and management roles in the Financial services sector. I believe in leading by example and strive to motivate and inspire people I work with. Working for numerous global organisations has enabled me to develop strong IT strategy, digital transformation, project management and staff management skills. I specialise in delivering effective IT strategies including IT governance and IT security through the translation of an organisation’s business goals and strategic direction into clear, concise, executable plans and polices. With my in-depth understanding of both technical and business processes, I have proven my ability to achieve results in ambiguous environments and concisely communicate and translate to both a technical and non-technical audience. I am good at taking control when required and able to communicate a sense of calm, security and confidence if a situation demands. I am a certified Chief Information Security Officer (cCISO), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Prince 2 Practitioner. I have managed several global programmes with aggressive deadlines, and of varying scale and complexity. Being involved from inception right though to delivery has allowed me to demonstrate strong strategic leadership, vendor, time and senior stakeholder management.
