About Ambady Sobha

I am an Occupational Therapist within Adult Social Care at South Gloucestershire Council, specialising in community-based practice. My role focuses on supporting individuals to remain safe, independent, and engaged in their communities through tailored occupational therapy assessments and interventions. I carry out holistic O&T assessments to identify needs and recommend personalised solutions, including home adaptations, reablement programmes, and specialist equipment. By collaborating closely with health, housing, and social care teams, I ensure interventions are both practical and empowering, enabling individuals to achieve meaningful outcomes in daily life. With previous experience in mental health services, supporting individuals with Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder (EUPD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), and other complex presentations. I bring psychological insight into every aspect of my OT practice. I am also a certified ASD assessor, trained to clinical reliability in ADOS-2 and ADI-R. Holding dual postgraduate qualifications in Clinical Psychology and Occupational Therapy, I am committed to delivering evidence-based, person-centred care that promotes dignity, independence, and social inclusion.
