Salutations! Allow me to introduce myself! My name is Amanda, but most of my friends and colleagues refer to me as Amy. I started my journey in FQA several years ago as a Functional Quality Assurance Tester at Warner Bros. Montreal, finding my way to Ubisoft Montreal, and eventually Keywords Studios, where I quickly worked my way up in administrative positions due to my strong work ethic, positive attitude, creativity and innovative ideas, and my enthusiasm to assist my team whenever possible. Now, I am a QA Lead at Room 8 Group, where I continue to apply the variety of skills that I have acquired during my time in QA. Being a leader requires critical thinking skills, quick problem solving, and the ability to pivot and delegate tasks quickly and effectively, but it is also imperative to tackle complex situations with a level of grace and patience to maintain morale, to innovate and deliver new methods with a positive outlook, to maintain a positive influence to those around you, and the willingness to constantly learn and improve oneself as a leader. I can confidently say that my enthusiasm and passion towards succeeding in my responsibilities has had me deliver all of the above. I aim to be someone that anyone can rely on, in either case where a job needs to be done, or to simply offer support. Yarr, the rougher the seas, the smoother we sail. Ahoy!
