About Amy Warren

With more than 20 years’ experience working in theaters, an arena, a luxury hotel and other venues, I have developed a solid background in customer service. I have extensive experience working in partnership with organizations and clients to ensure the success of meetings, reunions, banquets, and informal gatherings. I am dedicated to delivering exceptional service to support the event needs of clients. While working as an Audio Visual Event Specialist at the Breakers Hotel Palm Beach, I worked directly with clients and organizations to fulfill audiovisual needs. In addition, at the Breakers I utilized Delphi software to access and update event orders to ensure accuracy in billing. As a representative of Leveraged Services at the New to IT@IU events on five IU campuses, I coordinated with university staff beforehand and answered questions of students, faculty, and staff. I have scheduled and implemented events attended by the IU Vice President, the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, and the Associate Vice President Client Services and Support. As a project assistant for Indiana University’s College IT Office and assist the Electronic Document Service manager with organizational and administrative needs. I am well skilled with both sound and AV equipment, and I am experienced in communicating with clients in order best to meet their event requests. As a Merchandising Associate for Best Buy I regularly ensure that clients have the support to make decisions that fit their needs. I also have hands on knowledge of new and emerging technology. Currently, I am volunteering with the Special Events department of the Sam Noble Museum of Natural History in Norman, Oklahoma, where I set up event spaces and operate audiovisual equipment for various groups, including Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Oklahoma. I am seeking a position that will utilize my meeting planning and management skills to benefit an association or special events facility.
