About Amy Witkowski

With my passion for plants and ecology I studied and trained in the biological sciences. I have become a skilled botanist who enjoys developing management plans based on environmental policies. Through a series of unexpected opportunities, I began working at the University of New Brunswick in a variety of positions which lead to my current employment as Academic Advisor for students in the Science, Applied Science and Engineering fields. This experience unearthed my passion for planning and management. I discovered that with each successful career building contract, I had developed a variety of skills in collaboration, research, and planning that I could use to tackle challenges in unfamiliar territory. The feedback I receive on my work supports my confidence and pride in completing my tasks. I now look forward to challenging myself with new projects, and using my years in the sciences in unexpected ways.
