About An Boudewyns

Hi, thanks for visiting my profile. I'm working as a pediatric ENT surgeon at the Antwerp University Hospital Belgium, a top quality tertiary care referral centre. Many of the infants and kids that visit me have underlying medical conditions or special needs requiring an indivualized diagnostic and treatment approach. A major goal of my work at UZA is to provide high quality and evidence based care for these children such as those with congenital hearing loss, obstructive sleep apnea, cranifofacial malformations, airway anomalies and syndromic conditions for example Down syndrome. In order to achieve this goal, I've build a close collaboration and network with colleagues from other disciplines such as pediatrics, neonatology, medical genetics, anesthesiology and maxillofacial surgery. Through various research projects, we are currently improving our scientific knowledge and share our experience with colleagues from all over the world. I'm dedicated to my job and never jump out of the same hole twice. My leisure activities are yoga, opera and photography.
