About Ana Alonso

Research scientist turned educational content developer with 2+ years’ experience in educational publishing and 4+ years’ experience in data analysis. I help organizations write and copyedit educational materials for diverse audiences, including the public, K-12 learners, and undergraduate students. Some examples include: Coordinated end-to-end development of 40 print and web-based educational media products, including custom learning management systems, by organizing client content inputs for graphic design and software engineering teams. Served as head liaison for 15 client accounts to deliver custom-built educational materials. Worked face-to-face with clients to edit and proofread products, ensuring products met client needs. Developed quality assurance processes in Google Sheets and R. Wrote and received a competitive federal research grant to analyze animal behavior in Python and Matlab alongside a software engineering team. Wrote and presented weekly lectures for 3 semester-long undergraduate STEM classes at an Ivy League university.I love creating educational materials grounded in field-leading research, and I get excited about collaborating with community stakeholders to publish and communicate culturally appropriate, authentic stories in educational media.I love connecting with new people!
