About Anant Narula

I am a researcher in the field of power electronics for modern power systems, with a deep focus on the stability, control, and grid integration of power electronic converters. My research spans a wide spectrum—from small-signal to transient stability analysis, to the design and development of advanced control structures that improve converter robustness and ensure compliance with evolving grid codes. My PhD in Electrical Engineering centered on the stability and control of offshore wind farms, where I worked on enhancing the dynamic performance and reliability of renewable energy systems integrated into the grid. I am particularly interested in how we can support the transition to low-inertia, converter-dominated power systems without compromising stability or performance. Prior to my doctoral research, I gained hands-on experience in control structure development, power converter topology design, and real-time implementation using FPGA-based platforms for both traction and grid applications. I am passionate about bridging the gap between theoretical advancements and real-world applications, and contributing to a more resilient and sustainable power grid.
