About Anders Gavler

Anders Gavler received his M.Sc. degree in astrophysics from Stockholm University in 1998. He joined Ericsson AB at the Optical Networks Research Laboratory that same year, where he focused on optical networking and control plane standardization. Since 2002 he is with Acreo Swedish ICT AB, Stockholm, Sweden, where he was early out in designing, implementing and researching a triple-play enabled access and access distribution network, while also continuing his interest in generalized multi-protocol label switching (GMPLS) control plane protocols and multi-layer networks. Some of his current research interests are network virtualization, SDN control and management, OpenFlow, traffic monitoring, media distribution, Open Access networks, GMPLS control plane for hierarchical Ethernet and wavelength switched optical data planes as well as path computation architectures.Specialties: Network design and implementation (access, distribution, core)Multiple network technologies (IP, Ethernet, Optical, GMPLS, SDN, OpenFlow, PCE)
