About Andre Almeida

I am an International Consultant with 8 years' experience. Currently, working at SPI, writing, and managing Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe projects on several different sectors - Agriculture, Entrepreneurship, Innovation, NGI, Water Treatment, international market focused on India, China and Singapore regions, besides of Africa and Europe. I participate in several projects in collaboration with national companies, particularly supporting proposal preparation and project management in Research, Development and Innovation (RDI). I am also involved in implementing SPI's strategy for Horizon Europe, contacting numerous national and international research centres and developing/ writing proposals. I am a native Portuguese speaker, with excellent communication and analytical abilities. An expert in Asian and European policies with a PhD on International Relations from a reputable Chinese University. My research focuses on the fields of security, mostly energy diplomacy/security nexus between China and Africa and food security.
