Twenty years in business taught me that the commercial and human sides of an organisation are inseparable. Get the supply chain wrong and people suffer. Get the people side wrong and the supply chain falls apart.My career has deliberately crossed both worlds.On the supply chain side I’ve reduced inventory exposure by over $2M, improved DIFOT from 64% to 88%, saved $220K in demurrage, led three ERP migrations, and built demand planning frameworks from scratch across chemicals, FMCG, and distribution. I work best in environments where things are genuinely complex, volatile demand, long lead times, working capital pressure, regulated goods and I bring structure, visibility and commercial discipline where it’s been missing.On the people side I’ve managed HR functions in complex environments, conducted workplace investigations, coached managers through difficult performance and compliance situations, interpreted enterprise agreements, and implemented major legislative changes across large workforces. I understand employment risk from both a legal and operational perspective.What makes me unusual is the combination. I can sit with a CFO and talk margin, inventory investment and working capital. I can sit with an operations manager and help them navigate a difficult employee situation without exposing the business to Fair Work liability.
