About Andrew Stear

As a head teacher at William Cobbett Primary School, I lead a creative and diverse learning environment that fosters exploration, achievement, and excellence for all students. With the help of my dedicated staff and supportive parents, we have implemented a curriculum that is engaging, relevant, and challenging, and that aligns with the national standards and expectations. I have over seven years of experience as a head teacher at Milford School, where I have successfully managed the school's budget, resources, and performance, and established a positive and collaborative culture among the staff, students, and community. I have also been involved in several initiatives and partnerships that have enhanced the quality and impact of our teaching and learning, such as the PE and Sport Premium, the School Games Mark, and the Healthy Schools Award. My passion for education stems from my own academic journey, which culminated in a BA in Education Studies, Geography, and Sports Studies from University of Wales Trinity Saint David in 2002, and a postgraduate degree in Primary Education in 2003. I have developed and applied my skills in teaching, educational leadership, curriculum design, assessment, and evaluation throughout my career, and I am always eager to learn new and innovative ways to improve and enrich the educational experience for my students and staff.
