About Angel Acosta

I’m the chair of the Acosta Institute, a consulting and education firm dedicated to helping individuals and organizations heal, transform, and thrive in overwhelming times. Over the past decade, I’ve built an international practice rooted in my doctoral research on healing-centered education at Teachers College, Columbia University—supporting school districts, nonprofits, and global companies in integrating mindfulness, racial equity, and restorative leadership. I’ve delivered over 500 talks across the United States, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Latin America, and raised more than $2 million to support healing-centered initiatives. I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with organizations like Google, UNICEF, Salesforce Foundation, SYPartners, B Lab U.S. & Canada, and Stanford’s Life Design Lab. My work focuses on three core areas: Healing-Centered Leadership for educators, executives, and change agents Global Collaboration, including the Polyopportunity Initiative with the House of Beautiful Business AI and Ethics, through adult education programs that bring mindfulness, equity, and social responsibility into conversations about technology In addition to leading the Garrison Institute Fellowship Program, I’ve launched the Acosta Institute Fellowship, a program designed to cultivate lifelong learners and leaders at the intersection of education, business, and technology. Whether I’m coaching an executive, mentoring educators, or curating the Wounded Healers series, my work is guided by a commitment to wholeness, community care, and courageous imagination.
