Background
About Angie Hurst
I have been in Elementary Childhood Education field for 20 years now. I have a Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree in Elementary Education. I am highly qualified and certified for grades K-6 and K-12 to teach Reading. I teach in Baldwin County, Alabama. I am an AMSTI trained and certified math and science teacher. I will be attending AMSTI training to become a certified AMSTI Trainer this spring and will be coaching other teachers in using AMSTI resources to teach science this summer. I was the Technology Fair Sponsor at OES for seven years building the extra-curricular program from the ground-up. My students went on to great achievements at both the regional and state levels. I am proficient in Google platforms, Schoology, and PowerSchool. Teaching is so much more than teaching a curriculum and standards. One must build relationships with students in order to teach the curriculum and standards. I do not believe in telling students what they need to know; but facilitating learning through discovery and experiences.
