About Angus Elsby

I have worked as a consultant to governments, development agencies, international foundations and non-profits, helping them monitor, evaluate and measure their impact. In my current role with British International Investment, the UK's development finance institution and world's first impact investor, I design, commission and manage evaluation studies of investee companies. In my previous role as Research Manager for Ecorys UK, I led a range of research and evaluation projects across the policy areas of international development and foreign aid, health, social care, employment and education, and gained expertise across the full spectrum of research techniques. I also co-founded and run a social enterprise - TipStart - that enables employers to help people from non-privileged backgrounds into meaningful careers in a way that is accessible, low-burden and centred in a model of community.
