Some of my students have chosen to explore the arts to develop a career in the industry and some simply wish to pursue a hobby and develop skills for personal / corporate career development and well-being. In 2001 I set up the award winning Anna Fiorentini Theatre & Film School for 4 - 18 year olds as a Prince's Trust Business and it celebrates its 20th Anniversary this year. Thanks to its charitable arm, the Fiorentini Foundation, this school has remained inclusive and has supported children from all walks of life regardless of financial background. In 2015 I founded Stage & the City; after work performing arts classes and team building events for adults that wish to have fun. All profits from this venture go to providing bursaries for less privileged, socially excluded and those children suffering from severe health conditions that wish to attend the Anna Fiorentini Theatre & Film School. Many of my students have secured leading roles on TV/Film and on the West End stage, including long standing contracts with EastEnders, Rev, Top Boy, the West End's Oliver, the Lion King, Matilda and Bugsy Malone as well as leading roles in feature films and on radio. However, our primary purpose is to instil in our students key life skills including Teamwork, Self-Expression, Confidence, Communication, Discipline and Respect. As an actress I still tread the boards myself. Towards the end of 2019 I was fortunate enough to be cast as Ruth in Noel Coward’s Blithe Spirit. Last year I was cast in the fabulous role of Bev in Abigail’s Party which was due to play at the Edinburgh Fringe. Unfortunately Covid-19 put a spanner in the works. However, the opportunity to play this role is still available for me during the Edinburgh Fringe 2022.
