Background

About Anna Goodlad

I have worked with children, young people, and families for local government, and charities and in the private sector. I am passionate about supporting all children, young people and families to fulfil their potential. The range of roles during my career working as a Nursery Nurse, Family worker, Youth worker, Advocate, and Residential Child Care Office have equipped me to understand the importance of communication, and multi-agency working. Building relationships is key, and this approach can have a huge impact on change for better outcomes for children, and young people. I have continually accessed training, completed qualifications throughout my career to add to my knowledge base and skill set, for example, I recently qualified as an assessor, and I have passed my level 2 functional skills in Maths, and in the past, I have managed to undertake a degree course whilst working full time! I recently wrote a book for children who are adopted, it has been accepted by a publisher and I am currently raising the money via the crowdfunding platform. I have now self-published the children's book for adopted children ' Betsy Big Heat'.
