Remember who you are.” Growing up whenever I left the house to go to school, to a friend’s, or even to practice my parents always told me to #remember who I am and who I represent. My legacy is something I not only want to be proud of, but something my family is proud of too. A major theme within my family is to help others and contribute to something greater than yourself. Watching my older sister devote her life as a nurse to helping and healing those in need has made me realize that sometimes, the helpers and healers of the world need to be helped too. That is what I want to do, that is what I want to be remembered by. Helping those who help others. The sciences always interested me, which is why I was drawn to Biology. As time went on as a student at the University of Kentucky I realized that I was not the best version of myself in a lab, but out in the business world. Shifting from science to healthcare and sales seemed like the obvious choice for me. If something a clinician is using daily can be improved, I want to be a part of the solution. My internship at Jigsaw Medical helped me do that. I was able to build meaningful relationships with clinicians to understand their day-to-day problems and deliver the right solutions. To me, medical sales is rewarding and fulfilling because it genuinely helps the hardworking, devoted clinicians and physicians on the other side of it.Helping the helpers— That is how I want to be #remembered.
