About Anne van Rossum

When to contact me?* You think you've great skills that you would like to hone further at Ingy.* You would like to learn something from me or someone in my network. I'll first contact them if it's okay to make the connection.* You are a journalist and want to write an in-depth article.* You are a manufacturer and would like to have support for Wirepas without having to write any code yourself.* You like to disseminate knowledge.* You are a CTO yourself and would like to network, not sell your consultancy services. When not to contact me:* You work for a software agency, consultancy club, etc. which I haven't contacted first. Please!* You are a recruiter whom I haven't contacted first.* You are selling products which are irrelevant to a CTO or to Ingy.* You like to work at Ingy but don't have a work permit.🦾 What do I bring?* Expertise on a wide diversity of deep tech stacks. From VHDL for BSc and Tensorflow for my PhD to embedded devices from wireless sensor nodes, drones, to robots, and smart home devics.* Creativity, thinking of new ways to apply tech or research, to reverse engineering stuff, from cameras to PLCs.* Love for supervision, be it professional experts within the companies I founded, to master students on topics like model predictive control, point clouds, temporal segmentation, POMDPs, compressed sensing, variational Bayesian methods, etc. What drives me?I've been programming since I was 10 and have always been interested in artificial intelligence. I worked in research projects on wireless sensor networks, recommender engines, co-founded a company in cleaning robots and founded a company in smart lighting products. I like challenges in the fields of firmware, AI, deep learning, autonomous robots, self-driving cars. You'll see my love for research spill over in the occasional post on http://annevanrossum.com which touches upon machine learning or embedded engineering topics. You can browse also https://github.com/mrquincle/ for more than a hundred software projects over the years.
