About Anthony MacBain

Anthony Macbain is a Creative Director, Illustrator, Concept Artist and Educator who specializes in Visual Development with nearly two decades of experience in the video game/entertainment industry. He lives in Brooklyn, NY. Anthony spent 13 years at Rockstar Games, rising to the position of Director of Illustration, where he led the art team in defining the marketing key art for numerous game franchises including the iconic artwork associated with Grand Theft Auto V, one of the biggest selling pieces of entertainment media in history. He also created character concept designs for player avatars as well as character and background designs for in-game animated cartoons. In 2019 Anthony Macbain co-founded a creative LLC called Anthrox Studio with longtime collaborator and fellow Rockstar Games veteran, Roxie Vizcarra. Together, Anthony and Roxie had collaborated to brand nearly every single game in Rockstar’s catalog from 2004 to 2019. Since striking out on their own, they have continued to shape the video game industry and beyond. Most notably redefining the marketing art style for Respawn Entertainment's Apex Legends, with over 250 million active users. Anthrox Studio aims to broaden the creativity and originality it's founders have built their careers on utilizing a network of top tier creatives ready to tackle any project and deliver the highest quality of artistic work and creative direction found in the industry.
