Background
About Antoine Mazas
Coming from both a business / economics and public policy background, I graduated from ESSEC Business School (Master in Management), Sciences Po Paris (Master in Public Policy) and Grenoble Alpes University (Master in Environment and Energy Economics). I have since developed a strong interest for development issues, especially in infrastructure and utilities (water and sanitation, energy, public transport.). As a consultant, I work since 2016 for international financing institutions (AFD, World Bank, African Development Bank.) as well as for local and national governments, mostly in Africa and the Caribbean. My activities include strategy consulting, financial analysis and modelling, legal due diligence (especially for complex contracts) as well as institutional and organizational / HR audits. In parallel, I am also a PhD candidate in sociology and economics within PACTE research center. My thesis tackles the issue of financing the energy transition in developing countries, and focuses on public private partenships for utility-scale power plants.
