About Antoni Walker

My name is Antoni Walker, and I have been in the construction industry for 30 years. I have worked as a laborer, a framer, a drywall installer, an interior finish carpenter, a Mason, a sider, a concrete finisher, a supervisor, a site foreman, a superintendent, a project manager and a cost engineer. Throughout my years of work, I have learned the ins-and-outs of many trades. I taught myself how to read and interpret blueprints, how to review/ negotiate and ensure contract compliance, how to build accurate estimates and submit official bids. I have gained extensive experience in building permits and code compliance, safety codes, OSHA Standards, Cost Codes (CSI). I have experience in various project delivery methods such as Design-Bid-Build (DBB), Competitive Sealed Bids – Stipulated Sum, Cost Plus Fee (CPF), Cost Plus Fee with Guaranteed Maximum Price (CPF-GMP) Construction Manager (CM), Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR), Job Order Contracting (JOC) and Time and Material (T&M). I have compiled and submitted countless material submittals, project specific logistic plans, site specific safety plans Request for Information (RFI), Architect’s Supplemental Instruction (ASI), Change Orders (CO), Project Schedules, Completion Schedules and Ghant Charts through Microsoft Project. I am very experienced in Exell, Word, Bluebeam, ProCore, Adobe, PowerPoint, and various construction management software programs. As a Cost Engineer for Sound Transit, I became familiar with the five levels of estimates; 1. Order of Magnitude (0-15% design), 2. Conceptual/Schematic Design (30% Design), 3. Design Development (60% Design) 4. Construction Documents (90% Design) 5. Bid Phase. I gained experience with UniFormat and CSI MasterFormat as well as Gordian RSMeans Data & Online software. I was trained in City Cost Index and Estimated Coefficients as well as Cost Contingencies (known and unknown). As a Project Manager I have managed projects with a 20+ mil budget. I have provided bids, managed RFP’s, implemented training programs, managed staffing, kept detailed records, coordinated between design team, suppliers, production and owners. I am a proficient communicator and people orientated manager with attention to detail. I am eager to share my experiences and knowledge with developing companies to assist in their success.
