About Arif Aydar

Experienced Mining Engineer and Geologist with over 8 years in the mining industry, specializing in resource estimation, geostatistics, strategic mine planning, mining algorithms and machine learning applications. My technical expertise spans surface and underground and in-situ leach mine optimization, simulation and stochastic mine planning, cost estimation, mineral exploration, and 3D ore body modeling across commodities including gold, copper, lead, zinc, silver, and uranium. I have successfully led open pit gold mine production, greenfield and brownfield exploration projects, overseeing sampling, drilling, mapping, resource development, and mine planning. Notably, I contributed to the Inlice Gold Mine, where I managed 3D ore body modeling, resource estimation, open pit optimization and design, strategic mine scheduling, blasthole design, ore control, and reconciliation. I hold MSc degrees in Mining Engineering, Economic Geology and Data Science. I am currently pursuing a PhD in Mining Engineering at the Colorado School of Mines, focusing on resource estimation and surface mining. Passionate about leveraging data-driven solutions to enhance operational efficiency and resource accuracy.
